1. Andy Knowton of A Bright Corner - Andy is a quilter, pattern designer, and book author and has loved quilting for about as long as she can remember. She loves to teach and inspire through her many tutorials and patterns. Her work has a fresh, modern vibe and her patterns include multiple fabric and size options. Originally from Washington state, Andy now lives in Utah with her husband and two boys and has a great appreciation for a well-made chocolate chip cookie.
2. Cheryl Brickey of Meadow Mist Designs - Cheryl of Meadow Mist Designs is a chemical engineer specializing in intellectual property for technical textiles. She combines her technical background and love of quilting to create quilt patterns with clear instructions and strong geometric designs for her quilt pattern design company, Meadow Mist Designs. Cheryl is the author of three quilting books: Just Two Charm Pack Quilts (2023), Just One Charm Pack Quilts (2021), and Modern Plus Sign Quilts (2018), all published by Stash / C&T Publications.
3. Christa Watson of Christa Quilts - Christa Watson is an enthusiastic, award-winning quilter from Las Vegas, Nevada who enjoys teaching others to find joy in making “perfectly imperfect” quilts from start to finish. She's an author, traveling teacher, pattern designer, fabric designer, occasional quilt judge, and quilting industry ambassador. She is a cheerleader for the "do-it-yourself” machine quilting movement who believes that quilts don't have to be perfect to be functional and beautiful. 4. Fran of Cotton and Joy - Fran of Cotton and Joy has been sewing for nearly a decade. She loves designing quilts and contributing to the long tradition of quilting. Her aim is to create fast-finishes that anyone, from inexperienced beginners to long-time quilters, can enjoy making.

1. Holly Clarke of Holly Clarke Designs - Holly is a graphic designer and modern quilter from Winnipeg, Canada. She has been sewing since the late '90s when she studied fine arts and graphic design at the University of Manitoba. When Holly is designing quilts, she loves to find creative new ways to combine shapes, colour, and geometry. Holly writes her patterns to be easy to read and follow so that even a beginner quilter can understand and improve their skills while creating something beautiful to be loved and cherished. Holly has designed more than two dozen quilt patterns, and has worked with Riley Blake Designs, PBS Fabrics, Camelot Fabrics, Figo Fabrics, and Ruby Star Society.
2. Kirsty Cleverly of Bonjour Quilts - Kirsty began quilting in 2009 and Bonjour Quilts (the blog and online quilt pattern shop) was born several years later. The blog is full of handy techniques and quilt block tutorials, as well as colour scheme ideas for beginners and seasoned quilters alike. 3. Nicole Moore of Sew Much Moore - Nicole Moore is a quilt pattern designer and the creative mind behind Sew Much Moore, a business dedicated to modern quilting and creating a sense of community. Known for her approachable patterns, Nicole inspires quilters of all levels to expand their skills and creativity. As a Swap and Quilt-A-Long (QAL) enthusiast and host, Nicole brings quilters together through engaging themed swaps centered on small handmade items, as well as vibrant QAL events. She also leads the Quilt Block Club, a thriving community where members learn new techniques, create exciting projects, and share their progress through live classes and Show & Tell sessions. Nicole’s designs blend traditional quilting elements with modern aesthetics, using bold colors and negative space to create fresh, contemporary pieces. Whether she’s hosting a swap, leading a QAL, or teaching her latest quilt pattern, Nicole’s passion for quilting and fostering connection shines through every aspect of her work.
4. Sam Hunter of Hunter's Design Studio - Sam Hunter is a fiber artist, quilt pattern designer, European tour guide, podcaster, and the Chief Everything Officer at Hunter’s Design Studio. She started sewing when she was 7 and hasn’t really stopped since. She started quilting in her 20’s, and teaching quilting shortly thereafter. As a pattern designer, she often designs for our newest sewists, and our up-and-comers. She likes to design patterns that can be made with beginners’ skills, but that are more interesting than the usual big block patterns that are offered to our newbies. She believes that the arts and crafts have value in our lives. To quote one of her favorite professors, the creative people are the ones who make this world beautiful enough to live in. She considers this a life-long pursuit!

4. Yvonne Fuchs of Quilting Jetgirl - Yvonne is a former aerospace engineer turned modern quilter and quilt pattern designer. She was introduced to quilting by her paternal grandmother in high school when her grandmother offered to hand quilt a twin-size quilt to use in her college dorm room if Yvonne made the quilt top. Yvonne has developed a style that bridges her technical background and love of color, specializing in curves, transparency color play, and bold, geometric designs. Her award winning quilts, which have been featured in numerous national and international magazines, quilt shows, and books, often incorporate the quilting plan as a key design element, and she quilts her quilts on her domestic Juki sewing machine.
